"Principles of Construction Sustainability" is an interdisciplinary course exploring sustainable development within the human-built environment. It aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of its economic, social, and environmental implications, thereby fostering their ability to analyze sustainability issues, conceive and manage sustainable development plans. Key areas of study include architectural and environmental sciences, economics, and management. Course content includes the current situation and challenges of sustainable development, the principles of green building design, practical applications of renewable energy technologies, sponge city design and management, energy and environmental footprint accounting methods, and life-cycle cost and value engineering models. This course offers a rich curriculum with an emphasis on real-world applicability.
