Optimization Methods is a continuation of Operations Research. It is also the basic course and core course of major in Management Science, Big Data Management and Applications. Optimization Methods also plays an important role in the study of investment decision-making and optimization theory for students majoring in Investment. The core of Optimization Methods is to establish mathematical models for practical problems, which plays an important role in cultivating students' ability and quality of observing and analyzing practical problems and modeling. Optimization Methods is a quantitative decision-making science which establishes models to study the quantitative law of dealing with things in various activities of human beings, so as to make rational use of limited resources and obtain as satisfactory economic and social benefits as possible based on modern mathematics, computer and other academic achievements.
