讲座摘要：Construction industry is one of largest contributors to the generation of solid waste. Yet the construction industry is one of largest consumers of materials. Therefore, the management of construction and demolition waste can on the one hand reduce the associated impacts, on the other hand relieve the demand on depleting natural materials. This workshop will go through fundamentals of construction and demolition management, including the waste management hierarchy, main waste streams, key technologies. Some examples of sustainable materials will be provided.

嘉宾简介：左剑，阿德莱德大学建筑学与建筑环境学院，教授，博士生导师，主管国际合作事务副院长，博士。澳大利亚联邦研究院基金项目（Australian Research Council）评审专家，英国皇家特许建造学会会员（ICIOB），中澳城镇可持续发展联合中心理事会理事(CAC_SUD)，英国皇家特许建造学会澳大利亚-亚洲教育委员会委员。作为主研人参与了澳大利亚联邦研究院基金项目《Improving thermal environment of housing for older Australians》《Re-considering Sustainable Building and Design》、澳大利亚气候变化战略基金项目《A Framework for Adaptation of Australian Households to Heat Waves》等多项国家重点项目。长期从事生态城镇、绿色建筑以及建筑业可持续发展的研究，于2013年起被澳大利亚绿色建筑委员会（Green Building Council Australia, GBCA）邀请，作为专家委员会中的一员，对目前执行的澳大利亚绿色建筑评价体系进行评估，并对下一代的绿色建筑评价体系的总体设计提出宝贵意见。发表英文论文100余篇，其中SCI，SSCI索引期刊论文80余篇，Google Scholar索引数超过24500，H-index为85。
